I got my first Rubik's cube when I was around six years old. It was one of those with a quirky design of card faces instead of plain colors. Anyway, I wasn't able to solve a thoroughly scrambled Rubik's cube, and I never tried since.
Although it's quite a puzzle, there is a method of solving the Rubik's cube, which has been demonstrated in these two videos below:
